Introduction
Welcome to Inhouse Delivery (IHD).

We've created this simple guide to get your restaurant ready for delivery using IHD and Heartland Restaurant Online Ordering Module (HRPOS).

Step 1: Create your SocialSchedules/IHD account:

To create your SocialSchedules/IHD account, contact your HRPOS reseller and you will receive a signup link. This will take you to the IHD merchant registration page

There are 3 steps to registering a merchant account

  • Page 1: Contact person details

    • Enter the merchant contact first and last name

    • Enter the email address for the contact above in the email field

    • Enter a password for the contact above

  • Page 2: Business details

    • Enter the restaurant name and select the correct address for the business.

  • Page 3: Location Details

    • Enter the restaurant name as the location name

    • Enter the restaurant address

    • Enter the restaurant phone number

This will complete the process and you can send the credentials to the merchant.

Step 2: Link your HRPOS account to SocialSchedules / Inhouse Delivery

To link your HRPOS and Inhouse Delivery accounts, you'll need your Heartland Restaurant API Key from your reseller.

Once you have the API key, the following article explains how your HRPOS can be linked to your IHD account:

After linking your account, ensure you also enable the "Sync orders with IHD" toggle. This ensures every delivery order from HRPOS is sent to IHD for driver dispatching.

Step 3: Ensure HRPOS delivery room setting is correct

Next login to your HRPOS account. Every incoming order in HRPOS is assigned to a room (e.g. tab, table etc). In order to ensure delivery orders are correctly tagged for delivery and synced to IHD, ensure that room type for deliveries are setup with a Room which has a "delivery" type.

Step 4: Configure your Inhouse Delivery account

IHD is accessed via the SocialSchedules app at https://app.socialschedules.com/.

Log-in using the e-mail address and password you set when you created your account or given to you by your reseller. Once you have logged in, click on Delivery orders in the top menu.

This is where you'll see incoming orders from HRPOS Online Ordering Module.

Settings are accessible by clicking the icon on the far righthand side of the Delivery orders screen.

This is where you can edit the settings applicable to your restaurant.

Default note for drivers

This is where you can provide instructions to delivery drivers.

For example, "Pick up the food from the back door" or "Please call upon arrival".

Alerts and Notifications

You can also choose when to be alerted about late pick-ups and drop-offs.

NB: Settings are specific to Locations. If you have more than one Location, you will need to define your settings for each location separately.

Step 5: Enter your billing information

Next, enter your billing information.

To find this, click on your Company Name in the top left-hand corner of the main menu. You'll see the option for Billing & Payments on the far right-hand side, under General.

Click + Add billing details under Billing and Payments

Enter your billing name and address.

Finally, choose your desired payment method. We support both ACH direct debit and credit card billing.

You will not be charged anything when you click the Submit button. Your account will only be debited after you start making deliveries using IHD. IHD bills on a daily basis.

Step 6: Start auto-dispatching orders

When you're ready to have Inhouse Delivery start auto-dispatching orders, you simply need to switch it 'on'.

You can do this by navigating to the Settings, as highlighted in Step 3, and clicking on the pencil icon beside the Dispatch mode setting.

Toggling it 'on' means that Inhouse Delivery will automatically dispatch orders for deliveries. You will be able to view and manage these deliveries via the dashboard.

If the Dispatch mode setting remains off, you will need to manually dispatch orders if you wish them to be delivered.

Step 7: Download the Inhouse Delivery mobile app

You can also keep an eye on orders via for the InhouseDelivery mobile app. To download the mobile apps, follow the links below based on your device.

That's it! With these simple steps, you're ready to get started.
